Trainee Land, Engineering Surveyor and CAD Technician

A well-established Land and Engineering Survey company based near Godalming in Surrey, has exciting opportunities for new trainee Surveyors and CAD Technicians. Established for over 30 years, we have exceptional experience in training individuals in a fast track system, to allow eager students to get up the pay scale ladder and gain personal responsibility quickly.

As a Trainee Land Surveyor, you will be trained to carry out different aspects of Land and Engineering survey, and CAD processing in 2D and 3D Software packages. No experience is necessary but an interest in mapping, construction or computer drawing software would be an advantage.

Trainee Land Surveyor Roles and Duties

  • Assist Surveyors and Engineers

  • Assist CAD processing technicians

  • Gradually take on trainee responsibilities in Survey and CAD

  • Report promptly for work, sometimes for early starts

  • Follow company training scheme

  • Attend outside training where appropriate

  • Carry out some admin duties using Word and Excell

Trainee Land Surveyor Requirements

  • 5 GCSE’s (Inc Maths and English – grades C or 4 and above)

  • Fluent in English and technical writing in English

  • Good physical fitness and strength

  • Ability to work outside in all weathers

  • Early starts acceptable

  • Driving licence

  • Live within 35mins drive of GU8 5SZ

  • An inquisitive mind and team attitude is encouraged
